Gràcia neighborhood is probably the most picturesque in Barcelona. It’s a must, even if you’re not staying there you have to see it. The small tiny streets make you feel like you are not in the city of Barcelona.
Traditionally, it has always been a quite & residential neighborhood, of course full of typical old stores and groceries, but they didn’t used to have any hotel or hostel.
That has completely changed recently. As you can see in the map above, you have so many options to find a hotel in Gràcia, or a Hostel or B&B, apartment or any other place to stay.
The neighborhood located north from L’eixample and 1 km from Plaça Catalunya, was actually one of many small towns surrounding the Old city of Barcelona before the walls were demolish in 1873.
